UTO KULM and the Frys

It is more than 42 years ago since 24 year old Giusep Fry started running our hotel with his wife. When its future was threatened in 1999 by the merger of Swiss Bank Corporation (SBV) and the Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS), he decided to acquire the business and the surrounding land. With a great deal of passion and innovation he transformed the traditional mountain inn into a new jewel of the Swiss hotel industry.
In May 2022 Giusep Fry decided to hand over the management of Hotel UTO KULM to his son Fabian Fry who is now following in his father’s footsteps.

Today, together with a 100-person team, he looks after the well-being of guests at the Hotel UTO KULM with passion and dedication.
